Adolf Senff, eigentlich ein Maler, der sich auf Stilleben spezialisiert hatte, zeigt in diesem Porträt ebenfalls Können in der Porträtzeichnung. Sehr genau hat der die Tracht der Frauen aus der römischen Campagna wiedergegeben.
Das Blatt der ist der Rehberg-Tochter Adelheid gewidmet, deren Namen in der italianisierten Form Adelaide formuliert ist. (AVS)
